In a cave, a red ghost entertains itself with diabolical tricks, a bewitched jar and its supernatural power, until a woman, a good spirit, steals the pot and the powers from the ghost. The good wins over the evil spirit, transforms the red spectre into a real skeleton

The new music score creates original atmospheres, giving life to an entirely electronic music commentary. This new version of the short movie “Le spectre rouge” leave the applied music structure of the Leitmotiv.

The music materials used in the new composition are closely linked to the continuous electroacoustic evolution. It’s a work that has its compositional basis in electronics, it does not represent the characters and events but the climax and sensations that the viewer perceives; the musical sections, made up of recurring low sounds, simple melodies and essential timbres are renewed with banded sounds, distorted electronic structures and pulsations.

It’s music made at the same time as the movie (and not added later) where I tried to give the images a sound dimension

Dream and nightmare are other spaces where the music composition proves to represent the invisible and the imaginable. The score is characterized by instability, a continuous passage from one state to another, a temporal musical continuum, there are sonic variations in the sound that cause situations of imbalance creating transient states. The temporal evolution of audiovisual events.

The soundtrack is a thoroughly electroacoustic discourse, composed by continuous sonic textures and more structured parts, encompassing particular sonic elements that tend to be synchronous and more strictly related to specific visual events.

The score is capable of having its own raison d'être even without the aid of images dealing with magic, mystery, and the occult.
