Luis Cantalapiedra Vázquez comenzó a pinchar a finales de los años 80 bajo el conocido seudónimo de Dj Muerto. En aquellos años ya supo elegir lo mejor que ofrecía la música electrónica para crear sus sesiones, con las que siempre ha transmitido un gusto muy personal, sin distinción de épocas ni etiquetas. Desde 1993 hasta casi el final de esa década fue Dj residente y promotor para la sala Voltereta, escribiendo así su primera página en la historia del techno nacional.
A partir de la década de los 90 Dj Muerto se dio a conocer gracias a sus sets de techno. Sin olvidar el buen trabajo desarrollado como parte de Dark Archives Collective, -durante los primeros años del nuevo milenio- para dar a conocer el mejor Drum’n’Bass y sus variantes (como el soulful o los Broken Beats). En esta etapa crea Altered State, junto a Óscar Mulero, Pitch y Focus. Esta sesión para las noches de los jueves en Madrid, estaba dedicada exclusivamente a explorar y difundir el sonido Drum’n’Bass en todas sus formas.
PRODUCTOR
Su labor como productor, desarrollada sobre todo a partir de los últimos años de la década de los 90, es la otra cara creativa de Luis. En 2007 estrenó la primera referencia del sello Minuendo Electrónico bajo su nuevo proyecto musical Arcanoid. Aunque ya antes había participado antes en recopilatorios o había remezclado a grupos como Mojo Project.
Desde entonces, bajo el nombre de Arcanoid, ha publicado numerosas referencias en diferentes sellos ajenos, e incluso en los suyos propios.
