One of the few remaining bastions for forward thinking dancefloor electronics, Detroit Underground commendably continue their cutting edge series with some bastardized floor rocking electro from Jimmy Edgar and Richard Devine.

Devine gives Funkstorung’s ‘punk motherf*cker’ a thorough acid screwjob first up with a lethal hi-end production style that will cause murder on the right floors, before really adding some fuel to the fire on ‘krake technomix’. Possibly one of his finest and most accesible tracks to date, this is a seriously sick techno track given a detailed hi-end workout by Devine and resulting in a purist 4/4 killer that sounds something like Surgeon and Autechre having a messy session with Monolake, proper upper echelon techno styles.

Jimmy Edgar tackles some equally tough material on his side, jamming on a restless IDM dancefloor groove with ‘slaphard’ before swinging off on a super sharp and crisp Miami bass angle with ‘Wanna do it’.

Both sides are fully prepared for battle with a selection of loops from each respective artist cut into the runout area, making this a righteous package that cant be f***ed with!
